Who Is Martin Sejas?

Well, here we go, my first ever blog post. I’d been thinking about starting up this blog for a while now, yet I hadn’t gotten around to doing it for many different reasons ranging from “I’m too busy”, “I’ve got enough on my plate already”, “I haven’t got enough experience at blogs yet”, “I don’t know if I’m going to do this blog properly” and countless others I cannot exactly remember.
But that’s all over now. And yet it still hasn’t sunk in that I’m actually typing up my first ever blog post. However, this isn’t the first time I’ve done blogging. I officially started about 9 months ago but those have been mainly dedicated to my own interests, in particular my passions. But this is the first blog that is simply about me and dedicated to my feelings, thoughts and beliefs. When I say that this blog is about me, I don’t mean it in a self-centred sort of way.

My aim is to use this blog to communicate with the whole world my feelings, thoughts, passions, beliefs, teachings, love, warmth, inspiration and success so that everyone can benefit from it.

I’m admittedly a young man, only 21, and about to turn 22 at the time of writing this post. Despite this, over the last 12 months I have learnt more things about life, success, wealth & happiness than I have in the 20 years preceding that period. So much that it has completely transformed my life. I can’t recall another time when I felt happier and more content in my life!

And I believe what I’ve learnt in the last 12 months has the potential to change people’s lives if they simply were exposed to it. My hope is that this blog becomes a useful source of information and inspiration for those seeking to enrich their lives on a daily basis.

As this is my first post on this blog, then I figured it would be appropriate that I talk a little bit about myself so that you can get a better picture of me because it’s unlikely you have heard of me before.

I was born and raised in Australia and have lived my whole life here. My parents are from the South American country of Bolivia and migrated here a couple of years before I was born. I went through primary school and high school and graduated with reasonably good grades. I entered university in 2005 and embarked on a 5 year double degree in Economics and Arts. Despite losing a lot of passion for economics (which I liked in high school), I’m about to begin my final year in university in just over a week.

I pinpoint 2008 as the year that my life changed forever. Up until then, I had been following everyone’s footsteps in going to university, studying hard with the idea of getting good grades, graduating and getting a good job. 2 seminars I attended in 2008 changed this forever.

In March 2008, I went to a 4-day Internet Marketing seminar called World Internet Summit, more out of curiousity about how people could make a living online. And I simply love the Internet and spend a lot of time on it. It opened me for the first time to the possibility of an ideal lifestyle on the Internet, where effectively you choose the hours you work and how much money you want to make. I didn’t know that that was possible. Consequently, I went to other seminars and read various books on this interesting topic and I’ve since developed a strong passion for Internet marketing.

6 months later, I went to a 3 day personal development seminar called Breakthrough To Success which introduced me for the first time to the importance of having the right mindset to achieve all your dreams and objectives in life. It was the ‘missing piece’ of the success puzzle. Before this, I just thought that success could be achieved by simply acquiring and having the right tools. How wrong I was! The right mindset, the way you think, the way you interpret events are the most important ingredients of success. Consequently, I have gone on to read various books on this fascinating topic from many world-renowned ‘life coaches’ such as Anthony Robbins. As a consequence, personal development has since become one of my passions.

I find it hard to believe that it’s been only a year since I went to that first internet marketing seminar. It doesn’t feel like a year, because I’ve changed so much in that time. Normally, when you change a lot, a significant amount of time goes past. After learning so much in just a year, I cannot help but wonder what the rest of this year has in stall for me. One thing I know for sure, it’s going to be amazing!

I truly hope that you join me on this journey and find this blog both enriching and inspiring in the same way I’ve been enriched and inspired by the teachings and knowledge of others. But I want this blog to be 2-way learning experience, so please don’t hesitate to comment on my posts and engage in discussion.

Live for the moment. Have an extraordinary day.
